Simoselaps littoralis
—
West Coast Banded Snake
Also known as:
Coastal Burrowing Snake
We saw three beautiful little snakes that looked approximately like this one on the road on this night. I had a hard time deciding whether they were all the same species or not, but David Fischer convinced me that details of the appearance of the head showed that this one was S. littoralis and the other two were S. bertholdi.
Ive written up an account of this three-week trip to Australia here.
