Furcifer bifidus
—
Fork-nosed Chameleon
Also known as:
Two-horned Chameleon
We found one of these on a long daylight hike to the reserve where we were hoping to find Calumma gallus, and then one more at the reserve. These are juveniles. The adults have a very distinctive forked nose-horn, but unfortunately we didn't see any adults.
Here is a list of all the reptiles and frogs I saw on this 2023 trip to Madagascar.
