Boiga ceylonensis
—
Sri Lanka Cat Snake
For the last part of my Sri Lanka trip, I was staying with my guide Udaya Chanaka at his Runakanda Rainforest Conservation Center. We had already found four of the five Sri Lankan species of Boiga (B. ranawanei, B. trigonatus, B. forsteni, and B. barnesii), leaving B. ceylonensis as the sole remaining unseen species. Naturally, on our final morning Chanaka found one on the Conservation Center grounds.
