Green Vine Snake
Also known as:
Long-nosed Tree Snake, Long-nosed Whip Snake
These are extremely similar to the closely related vine snakes I had seen in Borneo, but that doesn't make them any less fun. The second one pictured here was a youngster that was drinking water from the leaf it was perched on, a few minutes after a ten-minute downpour.
This is how a vine snake catches your eye when you're scanning the vegetation at night for creatures herpetological.
