Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa Herp List
May 2017
I met with a gang of out-of-towners (Matt Cage, Mike Pingleton, Dan Rosenberg, Kevin Caldwell) and some local experts (Court Gaverth in Missouri/Kansas, Jim & Laura Scharosch and Don Becker in Iowa) for four days of intensive daytime herping in this snake-rich area. I ended up seeing 377 snakes in four days (!), though admittedly 214 of them were the same abundant type. I'll let you guess which type that was.
