Wucherer’s Ground Snake
Also known as:
Flat-headed Snake
A few minutes after I had found a dripping-wet vine snake, I saw something moving in the wet leaf litter, which turned out to be this unusual fellow. It looked like a fairly standard snake until I disturbed it, at which point it immediately flattened its body to this ridiculous level and refused to move any further.
