Taricha sierrae
—
Sierra Newt
This species was formerly recognized as a subspecies of Taricha torosa. Kuchta elevated it to a full species in 2007.
This very bright individual was very uncooperative for my camera. Would sitting still for half a second be too much to ask? Apparently so.
