Sceloporus zosteromus
—
Baja California Spiny Lizard
Matt Cage, Lorrie Smith, and I saw at least a couple of these lizards while flipping boards and other artificial cover looking for snakes. We chased one from bush to bush for a short while, but we did not get any of them to pose for our cameras. At the time we thought they were Sceloporus magister, a species we had all photographed many times, so we perhaps didn't try as hard as we would have if we knew it was a Baja California endemic.
