Scaphiophryne brevis
—
Brown Rain Frog

We arrived at the Arboretum at about 5:30pm and checked into our separate bungalows. At 6:30 we met for dinner. In between we could either rest in our rooms (naaaaah) or wander about the grounds looking for critters. I saw my first Scaphiophryne brevis a few feet from the front door of my bungalow, and plenty more after that.
Here is a list of all the reptiles and frogs I saw on this 2023 trip to Madagascar.
