Ranitomeya reticulata
—
Red-backed Poison Frog
Also known as:
Reticulated Poison Frog
Like other Ranitomeya frogs I've seen, this gorgeous little frog was very quick-moving when uncovered, hopping a surprisingly large distance for its size and then disappearing into the leaf litter. We would dig around in the leaf litter and rediscover it, only for it to repeat the dance. Eventually it must have gotten tired because it sat still for a few photos.
