Pseudophilautus poppiae
—
Poppy’s Shrub Frog
Even among the various high-elevation green Pseudophilautus species of Sri Lanka, P. poppiae stands out for its combination of distinctive eyes, bright colors, small size, and attractive tiny dots. (The younger one in the second photo isn't quite as beautiful, but still a fine frog.) They have a very restricted distribution in cloud forests in one small area of Sri Lanka.
