Thirteen-scaled Green Snake
The first snake our group found in the Atewa forest was this cute little harmless arboreal fellow, spotted from beneath at night as shown in the first picture above. This species, while not particularly rare, was not previously known from this forest. We kept it overnight for some daylight photos, then released it where it had been found.
We found two more the next night. This time we left them where they were.
