Phrynobatrachus accraensis
—
Accra River Frog
The widespread species Phrynobatrachus latifrons was determined to be a junior synonym for Phrynobatrachus accraensis in 2009.

These tiny frogs were abundant at the edges of the scattered ponds in this savanna area. They were extremely jumpy, and I saw dozens of them only when they hopped from their vegetation hideouts into the water and dove out of sight. Occasionally one would land on a plant or the ground and hold its position long enough for me to get a photo.
