These oh-so-flat frogs are the literal poster children of Knuckles Forest Reserve: a large billboard at the reserve visitor center features them prominently. They are classified as critically endangered due to their very small range and precise microhabitat requirements -- narrow and horizontal rock crevices adjacent to clear water streams.
