Meristogenys maryatiae
—
Maryati’s Torrent Frog
The ID of this frog had me stumped for a while. I recognized it as a Meristogenys, but it seemed different from the common Meristogenys in the area, M. orphnocnemis. I consulted with Borneo frog expert Alexander Haas, who agreed that it seemed different but couldn't place it immediately. Soon afterward he wrote back and tole me that after re-reading the original species description for M. maryatiae, he considered this a match. Thanks Dr. Haas!
