Gephyromantis oelkrugi

This was my favorite frog from Madagascar. Indeed, I think it's safe to say that is simply my favorite frog ever. It looks exactly like a wet lump of mud. Even now I have a hard time believing that someone didn't drizzle mud all over it. When it's sitting in the mud, as it was when I found it, it is essentially invisible. Fortunately I noticed it hop or I would have been denied the opportunity to meet my favorite frog.
At the time I photographed this frog, it was classified as Gephyromantis malagasius, but it has since been reclassified.
Here is a list of all the reptiles and frogs I saw on this 2007 trip to Madagascar.
