Lepidoblepharis xanthostigma
—
Litter Gecko
Also known as:
Orange-tailed Gecko, Costa Rica Scaly-eyed Gecko, Yellow-spotted Gecko
These little ground-dwelling geckos are extremely common in some areas, but they're not easily seen because they spend nearly all of their time scuttling about under the leaf litter. I revealed this one under a small log at night.
