Rosy Boa
Finally, my first Rosy Boa. I had been in Rosy Boa territory several times, but always in the hot hot summer, and these snakes prefer coolish to warmish weather. This guy was out basking in unseasonably moderate weather. Thanks to Lorrie Smith and Matt Cage for taking me to some excellent habitat. Though the snake generally wanted to slowly crawl off, Matt did a great job of keeping it still enough for photos.
