Ranoidea moorei
—
Western Green Treefrog
Also known as:
Western Green Tree Frog, Moore’s Frog, Motorbike Frog, Australian Bullfrog, Western Green and Golden Bell Frog
This was the one and only frog we saw in a week and a half in western Australia. We saw it in the road at night while looking for lizards and snakes. We were quite surprised to see it since we had no idea that there was water nearby\. However, when we stopped our car to get photos and move the frog out of the road to save it from other cars, we heard a distinctive frog chorus. The next morning, we drove up the same road and did see some large swampy areas just off the road.
Here is a complete list of the reptiles and frogs I saw on this trip to Western Australia.
