Lankascincus gansi

Gans’s Tree Skink
My guide Udaya Chanaka identified this skink as Lankascincus gansi, though another Sri Lankan naturalist thought it was L. taylori. I'm also not sure what rules out L. fallax. There are a lot of Lankascincus species that look quite similar.
I have the same identification uncertainty with this one.
