Babbling Torrenteer
Also known as:
Babbling Stream Frog, Tadapi Tree Frog
My guide Frank and I were wading down a stream when we saw the first of these, a little froglet, on a leaf overhanging the water. I wouldn't have been able to guess what species it was but Frank was very familiar with all of the herps in this area and ID'ed it immediately as a Babbling Torrenteer (what a great name!). The second one is a fully grown adult, and that one I probably could have ID'ed after a little studying of Tropical Herping's wonderful Mindo book. (But no need, as Frank ID'ed it on the spot for me.)
