Striped Burrowing Skink
At night after the rest of us had gone to bed, José wandered about the grounds of our lodge, keeping his eye out for movement and looking under everything that could be looked under to find us a few more species. Then the next day he would tease us that he might have something good to show us, before revealing another rarely seen lizard. This is lizard number one of five (1 2 3 4 5) that he found in this way on our last two days in the field in Madagascar.
