Eunectes notaeus
—
Yellow Anaconda
Also known as:
Paraguayan Anaconda
We had come to this part of the Pantanal to see jaguars, and we were not disappointed. But I was also really hoping to see an anaconda, and our excellent guide Nathalie Foerster made sure that I did. Some people on our boat, who shall remain nameless, were underwhelmed by this individual since it was only about seven or eight feet long and not particularly colorful and hiding its head. Not me though!
