Daboia russelii
—
Russell’s Viper

This attractively patterned viper has a well-deserved bad reputation for biting people, many of whom do not survive. This is partly because the snake is plentiful in rural areas where quickly getting to a hospital for antivenom treatment is usually not an option, and partly because the venom is indeed very strong. Don't mess with Russell's Vipers.
