Calamaria schmidti
—
Schmidt’s Reed Snake
Calamaria contains over 60 species, many of them extremely difficult to tell apart. Fortunately, in the highlands of Mt. Kinabalu, the choices are limited, and only Calamaria schmidti has the uniform dull color with a mild iridescent sheen of this one that Kurt
found under a pile of leaves.
