Loggerhead Sea Turtle
My wife and I took a Moreton Bay cruise in the hopes of spotting a dugong, but it was not to be. We did manage to spy many bottle-nosed dolphins and a few Loggerheads though. None of the turtles stayed above water long enough for a photo.

Two years later we visited Shark Bay on the opposite side of Australia in large part due to their population of dugongs, the world's most numerous. This quest met with a happy ending. We took a wildlife cruise on Shark Bay from Monkey Mia, and saw at least half a dozen dugongs going about their big slow-moving gray blobby daily activities. There was much rejoicing. While we were out, we also saw this one loggerhead turtle frolicking in the surf. This photo is, of course, craptastic, but it's the best I got.
