Peters’s Anole


This is a very distinctive and attractively patterned anole. Puts a lot of those other anoles (not naming any names here, but you know who you are) to shame. As adults these are quite large (for anoles), but this one that we saw was still a standard-anole-sized juvenile.

This one is dragging down the average beauty for this species a bit. A very fine head, but the body is a little dull.
