Andinosaura oculata
—
Ocellated Andean-Lizard
Also known as:
Tropical Lightbulb Lizard
The oculata part of this lizard's scientific name refers to a series of black spots with light-colored dots in their centers, which appears along the flanks of adult males. The one Frank Pichardo found here under a log lacked these black spots, because it was an adult female. It still has the light-colored dots, but they don't stand out much.
